High winds caused a 17 hour power outage for the West end of the lake starting at 4:20 p.m. Sunday. Most of the ice was gone by Thursday. Only deep bays on South shore have ice now.

Lake was up 3.25 inches last week to 28.125 inches below high water, while Mt Spokane snowpack increased with heavy high elevation snowfall.. Chart is starting to look near normal for this date, so I am thinking the lake wil probably reach normal high water this year.

We switched to calendar year accounting beginning Jan.1. That means everyone's dues are now payable.  We couldn't have our annual meeting last summer because of COVID. That means that many of you who usually pay at the meeting did not pay dues at all last year. We really need to get more property owners to join and pay dues in order to show strong community support when we seek outside funding for the new dam. Please send your $40 check to P.O. Box 363, Spirit Lake, ID 83869 and urge all your lake friends and property owners to do the same.
